I‘ve been watching your videos for a few weeks now especially because of this one that I found through your comment on an older video of yours. But now I was watching another older video where you were praising hydrogen peroxide while rescuing a friend‘s plant, and there you didn’t refer to this video in the comments section. Does that mean you still find it great or is your opinion similar to what you said here on 2:30 ? 😅 I like your opinions and would love to know that before applying it onto my plants 🙏🏻

Now the white one the old leafs are all turning brown and it looks bad. But, it still grows and the new leafs are pretty. could i then cut it below where the ne leafs begin as long as there are nodes over the place i cut? And when should i plant the cutting into soil? I'm pretty new too this, and I learn so much from you videos! Thx in advance from a fan from Norway :)

I killed two Queens and I bought one small seedling recently. I put it in pon as soon as I got it and it’s thriving in my bathroom. The humidity there is around 50%. I use silica and a liquid fertilizer to feed it. I hope that helps. I have couple plants that I am not giving up on.

I know I’m a little late, but I wanted to say it defiantly makes sense that he should care for his plants. I deal with a similar situation. My sister always wants me to take care of her plants daily. I’m happy to share what I know with her. I don’t think it’s fair for you to have to take complete care of his plants that he’s bringing home when you have so many of your own. Keep helping him by sharing knowledge or even have him go back and watch one of your videos for more information. Just my opinion but I hope this helps!

You can only understand low light if you have a light meter because even if an area looks bright to the human eye, its often not bright enough for plants. Measuring light doesn't have to be complex and scientific as a lot of people make out, just a basic light meter helps a lot and will give you an idea. I normally go by Lumens or LUX. Generally anything under 300 LUX a plant wont do well. 500 LUX then plants will be OK. Optimum lighting will be 1000 LUX is ideal and low light tolerant house plants will thrive. The best lights are LED because they don't use much current and I find are more brighter. Going with 6000k - 6500k color is best for plants and they don't have to be "grow lights" I use a different range of office and factory lighting, LED flood lights are brilliant because you can light up a large area with a decent amount of Lumens for lower light tolerant plants and wont cost you much to run them. I'd recommend always having a spare light on hand just encase. I don't get much light in my home so I have to run lighting during the day and all my plants are happy and thriving.

Regarding the portadora, there's a DIY mix that includes peppermint and tea tree soaps as those are meant to be repellant to spidermites, so if you haven't yet, perhaps give that a try. There are lots of different recipes, I use 1 cup of water with 1/2 tbsp tea tree castile soap, 1/2 tbsp peppermint castile soap, 2 tbsp 70% isopropyl and 1/2 tsp 3% peroxide. I also tend to add a drop of neem sometimes because I find it can shine the leaves up nicely. Fair warning, open a window and run a fan when you spray it as it can be a bit much.

Can just stick a stick into a pot instead of a moss pole if want to see how it takes to having a pole if what's it's missing is climbing. Moss poles are annoying to deal with, sticks are easier while providing support (tho can't do that self watering thing)

I have a lovely baby Anthurium Warocqueanum. I have it for 3 months now. It's happy, healthy, giving me new leaves. I think the game changer for her, and all of my Anthuriums, is a layer of sphagnum moss on top of the soil. And keeping that slightly moist.

I live in a mostly humid environment (it’s humid more often than not) but it still would dry out quicker than I would anticipate. It was to the point of watering it every 2-3 days. I suspect the trouble with the Philodendron Deomesticum Variegata is the lack of oxygen to the roots. The container has a very narrow top which doesn't allow for much respiration. Before you ditch it, try the semi-hydro in a wider-topped container with ample holes set into a separate reservoir for the water. I would love to see an update on it if you do try this. Thank you for all the information you give. I enjoy your videos so much!
